1. Mode of Study

We offer on campus courses and online courses and all of our one year courses (including the first year of our degree courses) can be studied full-time and part-time.

Student ministry roles whilst studying at college are strongly recommended and are often paid positions. Once you are accepted as a student you will have access to the Student Ministry Placement system on our student website.

3. Community

Moore College is committed to the preparation for ministry in the context of community. For this reason, the college is residential in character with common meals, chapel, mission, service teams and Chaplaincy groups.

Housing campuses are based in Newtown, Croydon Park and Paramatta. It is a requirement that married students live in the Moore college community for a minimum of 2 years and single students live on campus if accommodation is available.

4. Transport

Public transport – Redfern and Newtown stations are both a 15-20 minute walk from college. Buses depart from the college which take you directly to Central Station. To find out whether you are eligible for a Concession Opal card please visit www.opal.com.au

Parking  space is very limited in Newtown and there are no parking spaces available for general use within the college grounds.

5. Facilities

The Library: all students, staff and faculty of Moore College are automatically members of the Library. The Library holds the largest collection of theological works in Australia with over 300,000 items as well as 800 current journal subscriptions and a wide range of online resources. Sport and recreation: various sports are organised during the course of the year including touch football, ultimate frisbee and soccer. A pool table is available in the John Chapman House Common Room and students also enjoy cricket, handball and table tennis at the Newtown campus.

6. Academic Support

Moore has an Academic Support Coordinator to help all students develop their academic skills for study at Moore. He is available for individual and group work on managing the college workload, academic theological research and writing.

The college community also offers a tutoring service team.
